As much as most people past their mid-20's may hate this song completely you've got to admit that it's kind of catchy! Not just the song but the video, who can't take their eyes off of a korean doing the cowboy, random explosions, yoga sessions, as well as dancing in the middle of tennis courts, horse arenas, saunas, subways, parking lots, elevators ....... ? Well this video has definitely inspired one artist to the time to make a Gangnam Style flip book. I don't care how much you hate the song this is really cool!

Making a Little Change
Come Christmas time we are always so busy buying presents, chocolates or turkeys, that sometimes we forget that some people won't be able to have any of those things. The Lady of the "House", (Kate Moo King - Curtis) decided that it was time to give back. This holiday season House of Cool collected money from our little elves in order to support the Shoebox Project.
The Shoebox Project (http://www.shoeboxproject.com/index.html) collects and distributes gifts in the form of shoeboxes to women in shelters in Canada. Each shoebox is filled with items valued at $50 that a woman would enjoy but would not splurge on for herself in difficult times.
With the money collected we were able to donate five shoe boxes, each containing toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, hat, gloves, scarf, a chocolate treat, and a $20 gift card from Walmart.
Giving is definitely better then receiving.
Happy Holidays Everyone!

The HoC Holiday Gift Guide
Ok I know we post allot of silly stuff up here, but lets be real Xmas shopping is uber serious! The malls are war zones and the parking lots aren't any better. I don't know about you guys but I am not ready to get into it with the 75 year Grandma threatening to run me over with her enormous Odsmobile that she somehow manages to park?
Getting to my point, why not spend your free time at home with a glass of < insert favorite drink here > , your favorite slippers maybe some family guy as background noise and turn on your computer. We live in the world of technology now and nothing has made it easier to avoid the crazy christmas shoppers then Online Shopping. You can even shop in your PJ's if you like and you don't even have to do your hair or put on makeup.....or pants! AMAZING!
So we have compiled some neat and funny gift ideas to help you out and if you hurry your butt out of bed and onto your computer chair (for me thats my sofa), then you can get all your gifts delivered before Santa arrives.

On a more serious note, Laptop Bags are a great gift to give! Almost everyone has one and as much as we love those cute little laptop sleeves, one can get some serious shoulder and back pain from lugging that thing around. Also most computer bags are just ugly! I did some research (thank you google) and found some really stylish backpacks meant to help out your body while lugging around your portable office!

Happy Safe Shopping!
Happy Holidays!

Getting in the Halloween spirit.
Halloween like any other celebration has a very interesting past, and as like most north american holidays has nothing to do with what we find traditional about them.
"On the night of October 31 they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.
To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities. During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes. When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter."

Now a days we dress up in cotton and polyester costumes and go door to door for candy............I think we have the better idea!
